Full Day Care
We offer full day care from the age of 6 months. Our full day care service creates a home from home environment for all children. At Dunaree, we strongly support the individual needs of each child in our care by providing nurturing, loving and supportive care by our highly experienced childcare practitioners and close collaboration with parents to help each child reach their potential. We prepare homecooked, nutritious meals on site every day. Each child’s sleep needs are met in dedicated sleep and rest areas with individualised sleep schedules that meet the needs of the child. We deliver a stimulating child-led play-based curriculum based on the Aistear and Síolta principles which includes both indoor and outdoor play. At Dunaree Childcare, we are confident that the high-quality childcare we provide to each child in our care is second to none.
ECCE Pre-School
If you wish to avail of additional hours outside of the 3 ECCE pre-school hours, such as full day care or additional hours before or after your ECCE pre-school group, please send us an enquiry to discuss availability and options further.
We run the Early Childhood Care and Education programme at Dunaree which is a free, universal pre-school programme available to all children within the eligible age groups. This is a 3 hours per day pre-school group and we have both morning and afternoon sessions available.
Our pre-school curriculum is a child-led, play based curriculum based on the Aistear and Síolta principles where we encourage each child to become confident, inquisitive learners who direct their own learning within the stimulating environment at Dunaree. Our experienced Early Childcare Practitioners guide each child carefully through the two-year programme ensuring that each child reaches their potential and is well prepared to make the transition to primary school on completion.
In order to avail of this programme, your child must be 3 years of age by December 31st of the year you wish to commence. This programme runs from September through to June. If your child has additional needs, we can provide extra supports for your child through the AIMS programme to ensure our pre-school is inclusive and welcoming to all children of all abilities.
Afterschool Club
Spaces are limited for afterschool club and priority is given to children who have attended Dunaree Childcare & Pre-School as babies, toddlers or pre-school children.
We provide before and afterschool care to children of primary school age. Our breakfast club commences at 7:30a.m where we offer a nutritious breakfast, child-led activities and safe transport to school. Our breakfast club offers a homely, social and relaxed start to the child’s school day. We provide transport to Scoil Chroí Naofa, Rochfortbridge and Dalystown national school.
We offer afterschool club by providing school collections from Scoil Chroí Naofa Rochfortbridge and Dalystown National School. Once the children arrive to Dunaree from school, they receive a hot nutritious meal to enjoy with their peers. Homework support is provided by our experienced Childcare Practitioners. We offer a range of afterschool activities such as arts and crafts, baking, child-led play with both indoor and outdoor play encouraged.
An afterschool booking may be term-time only or if you require non-term time full day care, we can facilitate this through a full-time afterschool booking. A full-time afterschool booking includes term time care as above as well as full day care on mid-term breaks and summer holidays in our dedicated afterschool service at Dunaree Den, Rochfortbridge.
