Our Story
Dunaree Childcare & Pre-School is a family run business established in 2009 by Mairead Hyland. Mairead’s love of working with children and desire to provide high quality childcare for the children in our local communities of Tyrrellspass and Rochfortbridge was the inspiration for the service. As a mother herself, Mairead’s aim was to provide a homely, high-quality, loving childcare service that she would be proud to have her own children and grandchildren enjoy.
Our Ethos
The ethos of Dunaree Childcare & Pre-school is to create a home from home environment where the individual needs of each child are met to a very high standard of care. We offer a welcoming, homely inclusive environment for all the children of our local communities to help each child become confident and happy in their early years. We believe in nurturing each individual child to help them to grow in confidence and happiness throughout their time at Dunaree Childcare providing them with a great start and solid foundations to build upon in primary school and beyond.
Our Team
The key to Dunaree Childcare & Pre-Schools’ success is the incredible team of staff members, many of whom have been part of the Dunaree Childcare team for over ten years. Our staff members are carefully selected during a rigorous recruitment process to ensure they share in the ethos of Dunaree Childcare & Pre-school offering a child centred approach to welcome each child to a home from home environment. All our staff have Early Childhood Education degrees, complete regular continuous professional development, are garda vetted and engage in regular first aid responder training. At Dunaree, we really feel very lucky to have such an incredible team of Childcare Practitioners who all share in the passion for providing excellent care to the children of Dunaree.
