Pre-school teacher/After school

Amy is from Castletown-Geoghegan and is a new member to our Rochfortbridge team. Since childcare has always been Amy’s dream job, she decided to complete a four year degree program at IT Sligo. This Amy completed in 2013 by achieving a Level 8 Honours Degree in Early Childhood Care and Education and also Fetec Level 5 in special needs assisting. As part of her degree, Amy worked as a Montessori teacher and set up a mini business called “Sib- Needs”. This was set up to assist the siblings of children with special needs and Amy believes this experience will greatly benefit her in her forthcoming career. Amy has one years experience working as a pre-school teacher and in an afterschool setting in Mullingar. Also she has worked as part of the Kids Club team in Bloomfield house hotel for six years with children of all ages.
Outside of work Amy is a very keen Gaelic footballer and has just recently captained her local team ( loughnavalley) to junior final success. Amy also coaches the under 10’s, 12’s and 14’s girls teams in Loughnavally , all of which demonstrates her generous and helpful nature and willingness to contribute to her local community. Amy feels privileged to be in a position to contribute to the first formal educational intervention for young children as she believes education is extremely important and that learning starts from a very young age. Amy is very enthusiastic and energetic and has many great ideas that will enhance the children’s fun and learning at Dunaree.

Pre-school teacher/Baby/Toddler Room

Originally from Dublin but living in Rochfortbridge for the last 12 years, Aine is a mother of one with over four years experience in childcare. During this time Aine has worked as a pre-school teacher, in the toddler room and with after school groups. Aine has also worked with children of school age teaching them Musical Theatre. She had her own musical theatre group called “ Rising Stars”. As a talented singer, Aine believes that through song, dance and drama children can really learn to express themselves and build their confidence.
Aine has a diploma in Montessori and Fetec level 6 supervision in early childhood care and education major award. She is also certified in Laimh which is a form of sign language which helps children with speech difficulties to communicate through sign. Aine is continuing her education this year by attending Fetec level 6 Special Needs Assistance which will be completed in November 2014.
Aine is also a member of the local folk group and sings in the Mullingar Charity Variety group adult choir. Aine hopes that each child enjoys their time in Dunaree through education, play, art and music while also helping them make loads of friends and develop their confidence. Aine’s unique skills, experience and extensive training will be an asset to our Dunaree Childcare Team.

Childcare Practitioner in Baby/Toddler Room

Originally from Dublin, Aisling moved to Rochfortbridge in 2001 with her parents, two brothers and sister. Aisling is currently living in Rochfortbridge with her husband whom she met as she attended St. Joseph’s Secondary School. Childcare has always been Aisling’s true vocation and as a result she comes to Dunaree with over eight years experience working with baby/toddlers. Aisling finds it to be a very rewarding job. As your child’s new career Aisling feels it is her responsibility to guide and recognize your child’s individual needs and to nurture them to give them the best start in life. She believes in creating a safe and loving environment where they can learn, grow and have fun.
Aisling is really looking forward to getting to know you and your child throughout the rest of the year, which surely promises to bring with it, many new experiences and challenges. It is Aisling’s goal along with the rest of the staff at Dunaree to help your child become a confident learner and we will do our very best to help make this year a positive and happy memorable experience for your child.
Aisling is a very friendly, quietly spoken girl who is very approachable so if you have any questions now or in the future do not hesitate to come and have a chat.
We look forward to working in partnership with Aisling throughout the years ahead and I am confident that together we can provide the support and encouragement needed to help your child at this important stage of development.
